Trash bins are gross. They don't have to be.

Dirty trash bins are not only unsightly, they stink. They're a breeding ground for disease-causing germs and bacteria. They attract pests like flies - or worse. But you don't have to live with filth. Potomac Bins will eradicate it for you.

What we do for you

Clean

We remove all of the dirt, grime, and other nastiness from your bin, both inside and out. When we're done, it'll be so clean you'd think you could eat off of it. But please don't. What would the neighbors think?

Sanitize

Your bins are full of germs. Don't be embarrassed, everyone's are. We go scorched-earth on those little monsters. While only actual fire can get rid of 100% of them, we can promise that whatever might be left will be very afraid.

Deodorize

No one wants to smell a stinky trash bin. You deserve better. When we're done your bins will smell as fresh as a dewy meadow in the spring. Or, at the very least, they won't smell like a dump anymore.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Ask Potomac Bins.

Which areas do you service?

We're presently focused on Jefferson and Berkeley Counties.

Do you use dangerous chemicals?

Absolutely not. The cleaning agents we employ are biodegradable and non-toxic. They won't hurt your grass, your pets, the environment, or you. They do taste awful, though. Don't ask us how we know.

Do I pay in advance?

Only when getting started or when choosing one-time service. When signing up for a monthly plan, we require a non-refundable 3-month deposit which covers your first three visits. After your 3rd cleaning you'll be billed after each visit is complete. A quarterly plan requires a non-refundable deposit covering your first two visits. Payment for one-time service is always collected prior to our visit. For any visits that require pre-payment, we'll send you a quote that allows you to easily pay online.

What forms of payment can I use?

Any major credit or debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. If you choose to save your card on file (which will be securely stored with our payment processor, not on a sticky note on someone's dashboard - I'm looking at you, Karl) your invoices will be paid automatically with no effort from you.

How will I know you've been by?

A few ways. For starters, your bins won't stink. Also, we'll send you a text or email notification to let you know when we're done. Finally, if you've been really good, we'll leave you a little something with your bin so you know we were there. (Don't tell the others.)

What if I want to cancel service?

While we hate to see you go - we like you - we know that sometimes things change, so we make it easy to cancel. Just send an email to cancel@potomacbins.com and we'll take it from there. If you can, please include a picture of a kitten or a puppy to help us through the breakup. We'd appreciate that.

What happens if my bins aren't empty?

We can deal with a small amount of trash or debris which we'll bag and place back in your bin, but if there's a significant amount or if there's a dangerous substance present, we may have to skip your cleaning that day. If that happens we'll let you know.

My bins are so clean I don't want to put trash in them!

We get it, but go ahead and dirty 'em up - we'll come clean them again. And we don't mean to split hairs, but this wasn't really a question.
